About Pet Plants

“Pet Plants are tiny live plants growing in a capsule. They can be attached to bags, mobiles or keys. Carry them wherever you go and enjoy the fun of watching them grow!”

Pet Plants are tiny live plants growing inside a capsule. There are many varieties of Pet Plants, cacti & succulents being the more commonly available while ferns & mosses are rare.

Unlike normal house plants which must ‘stay at home’, you can carry your Pet Plants with you when you go shopping, partying or to school. The specially designed capsule prevents the plant substrate from spilling out when you move around with your plant.

In the world of fashion accessories, a quirky accessory like a Pet Plant will definitely amaze your friends and start a lively discussion about that little live plant hung on your bag, mobile or keychain!

GENERAL CARE FOR YOUR PET PLANTS

Light:
Give your Pet Plants a few hours of bright light each day by placing them by the windows or under bright florescent light.

Water:
Water your Pet Plants by dipping the bottom of capsule in water for 2 – 3 minutes. Frequency of watering depends on your environment. Generally water them once or twice a week.

Always allow your Pet Plant to dry thoroughly before your next watering. Dry substrate is a lighter colour as compared with wet substrate which will be of a darker colour.

TIPS ON GROWING A HEALTHY & STRONG PET PLANT

Pet Plants, like all plants, need sunlight, water and air to make food. The key to growing healthy Pet Plants is to provide them with abundant bright filtered sunlight (place by the window or on balcony) and sufficient water.

A Pet Plant given enough light will look strong and stout while one with not enough light will be skinny and long.

TRANSPLANTING YOUR PET PLANTS

When your Pet Plants outgrow their capsules, you can transplant them into bigger pots. Use a pen knife to pry open the capsule, carefully remove the Pet Plant from the capsule (cut the rubber stopper if necessary) and plant it into the pot with cacti compost or a mixture of half sand and half garden soil.
