plagiotropica Ping Chen, occassional ice water work fine, even for others too. Even the T. kegeliana is doing fine too and bloomed successfully. For more info, you can write to me at spheredomesg"@"yahoo.com.sg. (remove the " when mailing). If the T. plagio is dead, its probably too weak to recover.

plagiotropica For both, try misting them with ice water in the night. I tried on Feldhoffi and it starting to grow and one is beginning its bloom cycle.

plagiotropica Thanks Darren. Ya I think you are right. The place i placed my tilly, though always bright & windy, the temperature fluctuate. Mostly when there is rain, this place will get wet, and esp aftr heavy rain, it become very cool... No wonder last time my Feldhoffi also dies off ! :(

plagiotropica T. plagiotropica is a heat sensitive plant, just like tectorum. If after trying and still fail, then avoid this species instead. Just like feldhoffi.

concolor review by ping chen ng Date Added: 22 January, 2008
concolor I placed my concolour in my balcony where it received morning sun, sometimes it can be quite hot, But it seems to do well. It comes with a pup attached to it when i bought, due to fast growing I cut out the full grown pup n placed it in the corridor, where there's only bright but no direct sun. It seems to grow slower here, so I conclude that this plant need stronger sun to grow well. The Mother plant (in balcony) flower twice, after which it produces another 2 pups. Within half a yr these 2 pups have grown to half the size of the mother plant, with a little brush of pink in the centre. I supposed its due to the direct sunlight. Recently I noticed another pup start growing, this results in my T Concolour has produced 4 pups so far! Easy growing plant, great for beginner I think.

paucifolia review by ping chen ng Date Added: 22 January, 2008
paucifolia I bought mine about 1yr ago. I placed it in my corridor where i've a mini fish pond. Its rather bright with no direct sun, get wet whenever it rain. Fast growing, from a cute little plant to now a big fat ones where I have to 'loosen' the wire which i coil around it. I soak in water every week for 1-2hrs, fertilise it fortnightly. It has grown fr ar 10cm to 21cm within a year, and the leaves now is about double the time i bought. Fast growing n I really like this green fat creature !

plagiotropica Hey my plagiotropica doesnt grow well. My 1st one die off, i thought it was just my luck. 2nd time i bought, its still with me now but i noticed some of the leaves turn brown. I put it in the balcony with my other tillandsia. Others So far so good, so i really dont understand what's wrong with my plagiotropica. I fertilised it once every 2 wks. mist daily, somehow the leaves just turn yellowish. can any one give me advise? Is there any special care that i need to take note?
